Erm....I know its only March but its good to plan ahead, right??!! Well maybe not four months ahead! Anywho, swim shorts! Bear in mind its about minus five degrees as i write this (a teeny weeny bit of an exaggeration - but you get my point). As men we are forced to choose between floral ill fitting board shorts and floral ill fitting board shorts. Is it too much to ask for a pair of solid coloured swim shorts that are tailored! Well ye....It seems to be! However, the sun kissed, body beautiful people (never met them - but I cant imagine them being all pasty like) at Orlebar Brown have defied all the odds and designed a pair of tailored swim shorts in a variety of solid colours and not a floral pattern in sight, WOW! The blond haired blue eyed swedish design company Acne, has paired up with the Moroccan / Israeli, baklava loving (maybe he's had one too many) Alber Elbaz. They say opposites do attract and in this case they are right! The collection features denim, just denim, only denim, yup thats right - denim! But what more could be expected from a design company whose roots are firmly planted in the world of denim and Elbaz's obsession with blue. We say hoorah for one of the few high street slash high end design collaborations that simply works and leaves us salivating!

How I adore thee, Sir Philip!

Ehem...I promise Im not obsessed with him, just a tad obsessed with his offerings! Sir Philip and team have yet again quenched the thirst of men whom want a beauty at high street prices. For a good few months I kept seeing the quintessentially British item of clothing that is the Trench. The Sartorialist (the iconic street style blogger) gave us the "Art of the trench" for Burberry and everyone has latched on to this trend! I however, pride myself on being ahead of the masses, Pffff (Denial is a great thing). I was fortunate enough to have a dear friend who is a pattern cutter for a leading rainwear manufacturer and she kindly made me a bespoke trench to shield me from the dismal weather of England! If like me your pockets are not that deep for the mouth watering trenches on offer at Burberry or Aquascutum - These are the next best things!
